HorizonMW (HMW)

Required: You must own the game on Steam. If your Steam account doesn’t own it, the mod will not work.

Step 1 — Download the HMW Launcher

  1. Get the launcher zip from the official source: Download HMW_Launcher.zip
  2. Alternatively, see the project’s page: HorizonMW Download page

Step 2 — Extract the launcher

  1. Unzip HMW_Launcher.zip into its own folder (not the game directory).
  2. You should have HMW Launcher.exe in that folder after extraction.

Step 3 — Configure the install directory

  1. Open the launcher and click the cog/Settings in the top‑right.
  2. Choose “Select Install Directory”, browse to your MWR folder, then click “Finish and Save”.

Step 4 — Download the mod files

  1. When “Verify game files” appears, click it to trigger downloading any missing files.
  2. Wait for downloads to complete.

Step 5 — Re‑verify files

  1. Click “Reverify game files” once downloads complete to ensure everything is correct.

Step 6 — Launch

  1. Use the “Play” button in the launcher to start the game.
  2. You may also launch using hmw-mod.exe directly once everything verifies successfully.
