How HGMServers collects, uses, and protects your personal data when using our services.

    Information we collect

    We collect the following types of information:

    • Account Information: Email address and username you provide during signup.
    • Game & Service Identifiers: In-game client IDs, Discord ID, Plutonium ID, Steam ID, and X (Twitter) ID.
    • Public Profile Information: Usernames and public avatars associated with your linked third-party accounts.
    • Technical Data: IP addresses, region/country (via GeoIP lookup), and browser user agent for moderation, analytics, and security.
    • Gameplay Data: In-game statistics, credits earned/spent, casino game history (wagers, wins, losses), shop purchases, achievements, and quest/challenge progress.
    • Transaction Records: Credit transactions, daily wheel spins, and gambling activity logs for fairness verification and support.

    Third-party authentication (OAuth)

    To make account creation and linking seamless, we use OAuth services from trusted third-party platforms. When you use one of these services to sign in or link your account, we collect a limited amount of information to create and secure your HGMServers profile. We never receive or store your password from these services.

    • Discord: We receive your unique Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL.
    • Plutonium: We receive your unique Plutonium user ID and username.
    • Steam: We receive your unique 64-bit Steam ID and public profile name.
    • X (formerly Twitter): We receive your unique X user ID and public username (@handle).

    How we use your information

    • Operate our website, APIs, and game servers
    • Display leaderboards, player profiles, statistics, credit balances, quest progress, and weekly challenge standings
    • Verify purchases and claims (e.g., VIP), and provide support
    • Prevent fraud, abuse, or cheating; enforce rules and bans
    • Improve stability and performance; basic analytics about usage
    • Comply with legal obligations and reasonable law-enforcement requests

    Data sharing

    We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers only when necessary to operate HGMServers:

    • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our site and APIs
    • OAuth providers (Discord, Plutonium, Steam, X) strictly for sign-in/linking
    • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to process payments and fraud checks
    • Moderation and security tooling to prevent abuse and protect users
    • When required by law, or to comply with lawful requests

    We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience:

    • Authentication Cookies: Secure, HTTP-only cookies that keep you logged in and verify your identity.
    • Session & Visitor IDs: Anonymous identifiers to understand how you navigate the site across pages and visits.
    • Local Storage: Stores preferences and cached data (like linked account IDs) for faster loading.
    • Site Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, device type, browser, screen size, and general performance metrics to improve site reliability.
    • Referrer Tracking: We record where you came from (e.g., Discord, search engines) to understand how users discover HGMServers.

    We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Analytics data is used internally to improve the site experience and is not sold to third parties.

    • Account and linking data are kept while your account remains active
    • Security and access logs are typically retained for a limited period for safety and diagnostics
    • Payment records are retained as required by payment processors and applicable law
    • Gameplay demos may be automatically deleted after a short period to conserve space

    HGMServers is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us to request deletion.

    Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data. To make a request, reach us via our Discord support channel with enough details to verify your identity and locate the data.
